Mr J. Spanik will be representing The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Rome at the festivities being held in Malta marking the 50th Anniversary of the European Union's Treaty of Rome.

Various events entitled "FLIMKIEN MILL-1957" - translated "Together since 1957" will include the planting of a tree in the new "EU Grove" outside The City of Valletta, the cutting of 27 cakes representing EU Member States including Czech Republic, fireworks display, a street party and a Pontifical High Mass of Thanksgiving celebrated at St John's Co-Cathedral in Valletta by HG Mons Paul Cremona Archbishop of Malta in the presence of the President of the Republic, The Prime Minister and various other VIP's including members of the Diplomatic Corps will be amongst the events being held in Malta.
